Trash Removal and Clean-ups

Audubon Arkansas has conducted numerous clean-ups in the Fourche Creek Watershed. Our staff and volunteers from dozens of schools, Boy Scout troops, and other community groups have removed hundreds of tires and tons of garbage from local parks and creeks. While cleaning up old construction debris may be a permanent improvement, cleaning up floatable trash such as Styrofoam cups, plastic bottles, cans, and lost balls often yields only a temporary aesthetic benefit to an area. This is due to the fact that all the litter on Little Rock streets ends up in Fourche Creek. In order for this problem to be fixed, we need grates on our storm drains and improved street sweeping. Follow the links below to find out more about specific clean-up projects.
